Prof. Dr René Matteotti is a lawyer and professor of Swiss, European and international tax law at the University of Zurich. His specialities include corporate tax law and international tax law (including transfer pricing). Prof. Dr René Matteotti has many years of practical experience as a tax lawyer representing domestic and foreign clients before tax authorities and courts. He supports companies particularly in dispute resolution during tax audits, obtaining rulings and mutual agreement procedures. As an expert, he also regularly writes legal opinions on tax law issues.

Prof. Dr René Matteotti is, among other roles, a member of the tax specialist group of EXPERTsuisse, a member of the VAT advisory board appointed by the Federal Council, editor-in-chief of the tax science journal ASA, and president of the Swiss Association of Tax Law Professors. He is the author of numerous scientific publications on current tax law issues and regularly lectures at domestic and international conferences.
