About the job
The Department of Cardiopsychology is the clinical psychological service of the Heart and Vascular Centre at the Inselspital, University Hospital Bern. Our core offering includes clinical psychological services for individuals with cardiovascular diseases and comorbid mental disorders. We provide psychological assessments and therapies, both outpatient and consultative. Within the framework of integrated care, we collaborate with doctors, nursing staff, and other professionals.
What to expect
- You will conduct psychological diagnostics and psychotherapeutic treatments for patients with cardiovascular diseases and comorbid mental disorders. You will take responsibility for outpatient case management regarding psychological treatment
- You will work in a consultative capacity on the cardiology wards - exclusively during office hours, without night or weekend duties
- You will actively contribute to internal psychological training and bring your expertise to the development of new clinical psychological services
- You will document and report within the scope of treatment and collaboration
What you bring
- Completed Master’s degree in Psychology as well as completed or advanced training as a Specialist Psychologist for Psychotherapy
- Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team
- Empathy and strong communication skills in dealing with patients and their relatives
- Resilience and flexibility in challenging clinical situations
- Interest in therapeutic work in a somatic-medical and interdisciplinary setting
