The Department of Biosystems (D-BSSE) of ETH Zurich in Basel is looking for an Administrative Assistant for Study and Doctoral Administration starting immediately or by arrangement.
Job description
In the study administration, you will work closely with the department's study coordinator and jointly support students and lecturers in administrative matters. In particular, you will take responsibility in the following areas:
- Contact person for prospective students, students, and lecturers
- Processing of course registrations, grade reports/transfers, and project registrations in the ETH teaching applications
Together with the doctoral administration team, you will accompany and support doctoral students and professors of the department throughout the entire doctoral process – from registration to the final examination.
You will also independently handle general administrative tasks including correspondence in German and English and assist in the planning, organization, and execution of events. Vacation and substitutions are mutually covered within the team.
Profile
- You have several years of experience in a demanding, dynamic administrative environment and ideally have experience in the university sector
- In addition to confident German, you have excellent English skills in spoken and written form
- You bring solid knowledge in handling MS Office and are confident navigating complex IT system landscapes
- You are well organized, enjoy working independently, reliably, and responsibly. Team spirit, flexibility, and a sense of humor complete your profile.
