This is what you can expect
- You take responsibility for the entire procurement process according to our guidelines and existing tools, including order entry, control of goods receipts, invoices, and returns, as well as maintaining item and supplier master data in the ERP
- Ensuring continuous availability of goods through optimal reorder management, co-responsibility for the deliverability of assigned products, and ensuring that all deliveries are made in the agreed quantity, quality, and time
- Responsibility for organizing and controlling shipments via preferred logistics partners, including maintaining delivery dates and costs, as well as continuously optimizing the logistics process in the private label business as the central contact person for logistics issues
- Co-determination of the reorder timing, quantity, and quality in consultation with product management (forecasting) as well as initiating and scheduling quality inspections and preshipment inspections
- Independent clarification of goods receipt issues and the development of suitable solutions. In addition, you are responsible for down payments in collaboration with the accounts payable department, handling invoice issues, your own invoice control, and the verification and recording of credit notes
This is what you bring
- Completed commercial basic training with further education in purchasing
- Ideally, you have purchasing experience with a focus on the Far East – especially China, as well as solid knowledge in international order management and transport
- Very good oral and written communication skills in German and English are required, as well as experience with ERP systems (ideally Navision) and MS Office
- An independent and precise working style combined with a pronounced organizational talent
- The necessary sensitivity and negotiation skills in dealing with Asian suppliers, transporters, and goods receipt
- A quick grasp, networked thinking, and openness to new ideas and challenges
