We are looking for a Process Technician Metallography Welding to strengthen our team and take on a central role in the evaluation of weld seams and the further development of our testing processes.

What tasks will you take on?

You will:

• Accept orders for creating microsections of weld seams, including internal sampling, qualifications, validations, and other quality assurances.
• Perform metallographic sample preparation, including cutting, grinding, polishing, and etching.
• Digitize microsections, create reports, measure weld seams, and evaluate according to DIN EN ISO 5817.
• Document deviations and communicate them clearly.
• Take process responsibility for the entire workflow of microsection and report creation as well as for its standards.
• Conduct pressure load cycle tests, burst tests, and other examinations.

What do we expect from you?

You:

• Are a welding technician or metallographer with experience in evaluating weld seams.
• Have knowledge of the relevant standards for evaluating weld seams in destructive testing.
• Are fluent in German and English.
• Bring a high quality awareness in your actions and communication.
• Are willing to work shifts.
• Are open to training in additional testing methods such as hardness measurement, burst test, pressure load cycle test, tensile test, and impact bending test and take responsibility for these independently.
