The Asset Management of Zürcher Kantonalbank is the second largest provider in Switzerland with over CHF 328 billion assets under management (as of 31.03.2026) and around 280+ investment experts. Our active Fixed Income department manages around CHF 48 billion in client funds and offers a comprehensive, globally oriented product range, including both funds and customized institutional and private mandates. We cover all quality segments in Fixed Income – from top-tier issuers to subordinated bonds as well as high yield investments – and offer strategies in Swiss francs as well as in foreign currencies across various regions and sectors. All Fixed Income strategies are developed and managed at a location in the city of Zurich, enabling short decision-making paths, a strong team culture, and a consistently implemented investment philosophy. We are looking for a proven leader to head the Fixed Income department.
- Leads a team of around 30 investment specialists and promotes their development.
- Is responsible for the investment processes and ensures the achievement of defined performance targets.
- Develops and manages a diverse product range, from money market and bond funds to innovative solutions such as corporate hybrids or mortgage investments.
- Successfully positions competitive, actively managed funds for different client groups in the market.
- Maintains close relationships with internal and external clients and actively shapes the sales strategy.
- Monitors risks and regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility and ensures compliance.
- Identifies market trends early and develops innovative fixed income solutions in close cooperation with market participants.
- Ensures the economic success of the entire fixed income area and promotes collaboration with internal sales teams.
- University degree (university or university of applied sciences) as well as targeted further education in finance or leadership (e.g., EMBA, CFA, AZEK, CAIA)
- Proven expertise and experience in fixed income portfolio management
- Profound knowledge of the asset management industry
- Several years of leadership experience in the financial environment
- Broad network with institutional and private Swiss clients
- Strong communication skills towards internal and external clients
- High social competence combined with above-average strategic and conceptual thinking
- Ability to coach and develop employees
- Strong innovation capability with high motivation
- Independent, innovative, and passionate in fulfilling the area of responsibility
- Very good German and English skills, French or other languages are an advantage.
