The Military and Civil Protection Office is the specialised cantonal service for all matters relating to the military, civil protection and population protection sectors and implements the relevant laws.
Civil protection is one of five partner organisations for population protection (police, fire brigade, public health, technical services, civil protection).
In the canton of Graubünden, around 1700 civil protection militiamen are incorporated into regional civil protection companies and various special formations.
The Military and Civil Protection Office is looking for a civil protection instructor for 1 November 2026 or by agreement.
- Training and professional development of persons subject to compulsory service in civil protection in all specialties from troop level to cadre level
- Development of teaching materials for training according to function
- Support and advice to commanders and cadres of regional civil protection companies in the event of interventions and training
- Management of civil protection intervention in the event of an incident
- Advice and support to municipal command staffs
- Personnel, specialist and organisational management of a civil protection company or a special formation
- Collaboration on projects
- Professional certificate with several years of professional experience
- Completed training as a civil protection instructor with a federal professional certificate or willingness to undertake it (duration 2 years and 8 months)
- High availability for service and ability to work in a team in an interdisciplinary context
- Innovative personality, able to think interdisciplinarily, with strong conceptual and communication skills
- Excellent organisational, planning and coordination skills
- High social skills, flexibility and ability to cope with stressful situations
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
- Driving licence of at least category B
