Position 76059728 Production Engineering Technician

Your Role and Responsibilities 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Each day, you will participate in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. You will also showcase your knowledge by sharing TPM and cycle time data and improvement ideas with internal teams. 

Work model: #LI-Onsite 

You will be mainly accountable for: 

• TPM (Total Productive Maintenance): 

• Handle tool management activities, including but not limited to maintenance, purchasing, standardization, and ensuring functionality and calibration. 

• Assure production line availability assuring preventative maintenance is adhered to and review data to support improvement interventions. 

• Collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers to meet tool requirements. 

• Project Support: 

• Support Continuous Improvement Specialist with lean projects  

• Training: 

• Develop and implement training documents for TPM, 5S, ESD and other relevant areas. 

• Conduct training sessions for coworkers to enhance their skills and knowledge. 

• Time Keeping: 

• Perform time studies on all prioritized process steps to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency. 

• Ensure the documented times in SAP are correct to actual base line times from your measured time study. 

• Order Processing: 

• Place and confirm orders in “Smart Buy”. 

• Tracking of orders to assure correct and timely arrival. 

Your Qualifications 

• Demonstrated a clear focus on safe work practices with a dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines 

• Demonstrated work ethic characterized by motivation, willingness to handle tasks, and a willingness to take initiative. 

• Comfortable in a teaching environment with the ability to effectively communicate information to a group but also to tailor your teaching approach for individualized learning experiences. 

• Good knowledge of current tools used in operations. 

• Experience working with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. 

• Good organization, collaborative and problem-solving skills. 

• Minimum of two years of experience in UPS manufacturing. 

• Yellow Belt certified and English language a plus
