The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS is the reference institute for measurements and measuring instruments in Switzerland. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (e.g. when refuelling), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and consultations for business, research and administration. Measurement accuracy creates trust, especially at the societal and political level, and is essential in many areas: road traffic, electricity billing, time transmission, measurements in the environmental and health sectors, etc. At METAS, various specialist fields come together and complement each other – and this has been the case since 1862.
Your tasks
- Responsible for the design, construction and operation of cloud platforms, especially SaaS including support in incident, change and problem management
- Collaboration with internal departments and external service providers as well as creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Administration and configuration of: Entra ID, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune / Endpoint Management, Exchange Online, Conditional Access and security functions
- Technical support of external partners during design, implementation and migration phases
Your profile
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist EFZ supplemented by appropriate further training (e.g. HF in IT or comparable qualification) as well as several years of experience in engineering and operation of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and knowledge of AWS. Experience with other cloud platforms as well as on-premises systems, open source tech stack and IT security is an advantage
- Service-oriented, committed and reliable personality with a strong team spirit and willingness to be on call
- You communicate confidently in one official language (German or French) and have good knowledge of a second official language, complemented by solid English skills
