Purpose of the Role
The Employee Supply Chain Management organizes, controls, and monitors the entire material and goods flow from the supplier through the warehouse to production and the customer. He ensures that materials, information, and shipments flow through the company in a structured, timely, and economical manner. As an internal service provider, he proactively supports all specialists in production so that they can work optimally and that internal goods flows are continuously optimized.
Tasks:
- Material and inventory management
- Ensuring material availability for the entire company
- Monitoring minimum and reorder levels
- Triggering orders according to disposition guidelines
- Monitoring deadlines for orders and deliveries
- Incoming goods inspection (quantity, quality, documentation)
- Management and maintenance of inventory in the system
- Organization of storage locations and warehouse structure
- Conducting inventories
- Logistics / shipping
- Assisting with packaging and shipping preparation of customer orders (including delivery note creation, organization of courier trips)
- Management of shipping materials
- Responsible for import and export
- Process and cost optimization
- Active participation in optimizing inventory levels
- Improvement of delivery times and availability
- Participation in process optimizations along the entire supply chain
- Support in make-or-buy decisions
- Participation in profitability calculations (material, suppliers, processes)
- Quality and documentation (ISO relevant)
- Ensuring traceability of materials (batches)
- Documentation of incoming goods and suppliers
- Compliance with defined processes according to the QM system
- Participation in risk analyses in procurement and logistics
- Maintenance of material master data
