Department Head Therapy Internal Medicine
- 16 June 2026
- 60 – 100%
- Permanent position
About the job
The Bern Reha Centre belongs to the Medical Department Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine of the Insel Group and is one of the leading rehabilitation clinics in Switzerland. We are looking for a solution-oriented leader to start immediately or by arrangement. Join us in supporting patients in their recovery process and employees in their professional daily life and development – high above Lake Thun with breathtaking mountain views (only 15 minutes from Thun).
What to expect
- You lead, challenge and promote your 16-member interprofessional therapy team with a transparent and appreciative feedback culture
- You are responsible for efficient duty planning and optimise rehabilitative treatment processes in close collaboration with medicine, nursing and the planning team
- You conduct employee discussions, define goals and confidently accompany change processes
- You actively shape the strategic further development of therapy services in the field of internal medicine in close cooperation with our specialists
- You occasionally and as needed take on direct inpatient patient care (e.g. as cover during holidays or illness)
What you bring
- Completed studies (BSc, MSc or MAS) in a therapeutic profession. Additional training at CAS level in health economics or leadership is an advantage. For foreign diplomas, an existing SRK recognition is required
- Several years of professional experience in inpatient rehabilitation is an advantage
- Experience in personnel management is a plus but not a requirement – your motivation to acquire the necessary leadership skills (supported by us) is important
- You are characterised by high integrity and a sense of responsibility. You act proactively, think entrepreneurially and maintain a structured way of working even in demanding times. A strong sense of lived interprofessional collaboration rounds off your profile
Our offer
- A responsible leadership role with great scope for action and design
- Generous support for your professional prospects and further training (ideal for entry into management)
- Attractive employment conditions, very good accessibility by public transport, modern infrastructure as well as the possibility of partial home office and sufficient induction time
- Flat hierarchies in a well-coordinated, motivated team
