Company Description

Barrière is looking for a talent: a Human Resources Director for Switzerland.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of the Swiss Casinos and the Group International HR Director, you will oversee the human resources of the casinos in Montreux, Fribourg, and Courrendlin.

You will work on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland, within the Casino Barrière Montreux, in a sumptuous setting offering a panoramic view of the lake and the Alps, with an area of 10,000 m² dedicated to entertainment.

Casino Barrière Montreux includes a bar, a restaurant, banquet and show rooms, a gaming room (259 slot machines, 47 electronic games, 19 gaming tables, a poker room with 5 poker tables, 4 Blackjack tables, 1 Diceball table, 2 Ultimate Texas Hold’em tables, 1 reversible Blackjack/Punto Banco table and 6 English roulette tables), as well as shops.

Job Description

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE…

Team management: supervise and lead the HR team responsible for operational support across our 3 sites in Switzerland (Montreux, Fribourg, and Courrendlin).
Recruitment and integration: manage recruitment according to operational needs. Design and implement immersive onboarding programmes to instil our service standards in new hires.
Skills development and training: plan and execute training actions necessary for employee development needs, while ensuring rigorous monitoring of mandatory training.
Managerial advice and labour legislation: ensure strict compliance with Swiss labour law and cantonal specificities (Vaud, Fribourg, Jura). Facilitate social dialogue and maintain a calm and constructive social climate.
Budget management and HR controlling: analytically manage personnel costs: produce reports and KPIs, prepare annual budgets and forecasts, monitor variances and optimise staffing levels.
Payroll supervision and legal obligations: ensure and guarantee the proper execution of payroll internally as well as the compliance of all monthly and annual statements.

Qualifications

YOUR PROFILE

Holder of a degree in Human Resources, you have at least 5 to 8 years of successful experience in Switzerland in a generalist HR management position.
Solid and up-to-date knowledge of Swiss labour law and local employment regulations, as well as practical experience with payroll software and HRIS.
Interpersonal skills: diplomacy, emotional intelligence, and strong organisational skills.
Fluency in French is essential; German and/or English would be an advantage.
Criminal record and debt enforcement office extract must be clean; no gambling bans in Switzerland.
