Mobile Elderly Work is a municipal service aimed at promoting the self-determined lifestyle of the elderly population, strengthening social participation, and providing easily accessible information and counseling opportunities.

The City of Aarau will gradually introduce Mobile Elderly Work (MoA) in all city districts starting in 2025.

To expand the team and implement the service in one district, we are looking for a

Employee Mobile Elderly Work (30% from January 2026)

Your main responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing mobile elderly work in an Aarau district according to the action plan and in cooperation with the MoA team management
• Building and coordinating a network of key persons in the district, supporting and implementing initiatives from the population
• Organizing and conducting participatory projects and events at the district level
• Networking with local actors and institutions in the elderly sector
• Providing information and counseling to the elderly population, their families, and relatives on aging topics and referring to appropriate services

Your profile

• You have a higher professional education.
• Professional experience in the health and/or social sector; experience in outreach (neighborhood) work and/or in the elderly sector is desirable.
• You are open, communicative, and possess high social competence.
• Your winning manner enables you to connect people with each other.
• Local knowledge is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Good Office 365 skills
