The St.Gallen Municipal Utilities are the reliable partner for the population and economy of the city of St.Gallen as well as partly the region in the supply of energy, water and fibre optics. Significant projects are upcoming in the next few years, including the replacement construction of the substation on Steinachstrasse and the voltage conversion from 10 to 20 kV. For the Electricity and Telecom Network area, Plant Department, we are looking to complement our team in the Substations division with a

Project Employee / Electrical Planner (m/f/d) 50%

This is what you will do:

• Technical planning of electrical distribution systems for new, modification and expansion works as well as renewals according to specified concepts.
• Drawing of electromechanical systems and equipment (principle and electrical schematics, controls, regulations, dispositions, cabinet layouts, construction drawings, cable systems, etc.).
• Conducting technical clarifications as well as preparing documentation and planning documents.
• Preparation of tender documents and requests for quotations.
• Ensuring and continuously optimising occupational safety and health protection on construction sites.

This is what you bring with you:

• Basic electrical training as an electrical planner, automation technician or comparable with experience in creating electrical schematics.
• Experience in the primary and secondary technology of substations is a plus.
• Proficient use of CAD systems such as AutoCAD and eXs.
• Technical understanding and a structured as well as precise way of working.
• Team player as well as open and communicative personality.
