With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical center focused on the elderly and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-related specific problems, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care.
The position is attached to SMIR-BS. SMIR-BS handles acute internal medicine situations, as well as medical rehabilitation (internal medicine & oncology rehabilitation and specialized cardiac rehabilitation). This service primarily admits people (<75 years) requiring multidisciplinary care teams.
Job Description

Thanks to your excellent organizational skills, operational management abilities, and leadership, you ensure the supervision of care units (acute and rehabilitation zones). You contribute to the administration and organization of the service under the direction of the chief medical officer.
You demonstrate proactivity, rigor, and are a source of proposals and initiatives; you ensure the smooth running of the service and promote the quality and safety of care, while ensuring compliance with institutional procedures.
You have proven managerial skills and ensure the supervision and development of the site teams. You notably demonstrate the ability to support, motivate teams, and ensure their continuous training.
Your communication skills, open-mindedness, listening ability, and synthesis skills are valuable assets for success in your role.
Finally, you have the ambition to promote and continue developing clinical and academic activity in the relevant field, as well as the motivation to participate in the Service's projects.
Committed and dedicated, you participate in the design, development, and delivery of pre- and post-graduate teaching as well as the promotion of interdisciplinary work and teaching.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
You hold an FMH specialty title in general internal medicine and have the right to practice in the canton of Geneva.
You have completed your doctorate.
For non-French-speaking candidates, C1 level French in spoken and written tests is required.
You are a person with excellent communication skills, both within interdisciplinary teams and with patients. You demonstrate dynamism, flexibility, and commitment.
