Job Description
The Catering Service includes seven kitchens and eleven catering outlets (brasserie, cafeteria, café, sandwich bar) serving around 9,000 meals per day. This service’s mission is to offer quality services and pleasant, friendly moments.
During your apprenticeship, you will cover the various aspects of managing and operating a restaurant.
You will participate in the receipt and inspection of goods as well as the preparation of dishes and the creation of beverages. Additionally, you will ensure the welcome, sales, and advice to customers within the restaurants. You will also manage the product setup, ensuring their presentation.
Furthermore, you will take part in planning and organising field activities such as managing schedules or implementing work processes. Food safety, hygiene, quality monitoring, and marketing are all concepts that will enhance your training.
The diversity of services provided and the demands of the hospital environment allow the Catering Service to offer apprentices a varied and comprehensive training path.
The apprentice completes their training across several sites: Trois-Chêne Hospital, Belle-Idée Hospital, and Bellerive Hospital.
Qualifications
You have successfully completed your compulsory schooling and have a strong interest in cooking and discovering different sectors of catering.
Friendly, you enjoy teamwork and communicate easily with your interlocutors.
You manage your stress in difficult situations and seek help if necessary.
Cleanliness and creativity are among your qualities.
You have an interest in the hospital environment and are ready to commit to a professional training alternating work in a company, practical courses, and theoretical lessons at school.
