Key Supplier Manager:in Central Purchasing

You enjoy shaping sustainable partnerships with key suppliers and keeping an overview in dynamic markets. In the area of key market & supplier management, you take on a central role in the central purchasing department of Zürcher Kantonalbank. As a unit responsible for the entire bank, we ensure the supply of the bank with all goods and services necessary for sustainable business operations. As the primary contact for our key suppliers, you ensure that costs, quality, and security in procurement and supplier management are balanced, thus making a direct contribution to the success of our bank.

• Develop procurement strategies and roadmaps in close coordination with internal specialist departments
• Identify and implement cost optimisation potentials for sustainable savings and efficiency improvements
• Monitor and analyse procurement markets to identify opportunities and risks at an early stage
• Oversee and manage service level agreements with our key suppliers
• Conduct complex tenders with forward-looking negotiation up to contract conclusion, especially in the area of critical functions and outsourcing
• Ensure regulatory requirements and professionally manage processes in claims, audits, and escalations
• Build and maintain a strong network with internal and external stakeholders
• Further develop processes, methods, and tools such as contract and evaluation templates, supplier dossiers, or new technologies

• Completed university education, ideally in business administration, business informatics, or a comparable field; further training in strategic purchasing or supply chain management is an advantage
• At least 7 years of experience in strategic purchasing with proven success, especially in the IT product group (ideally including financial market information), preferably in the financial sector
• Very good knowledge of strategic procurement and supplier management as well as experience with complex contract negotiations
• Experience dealing with regulatory requirements and outsourcing in a regulated environment is an advantage
• You score with high endurance, resilience, and willingness to perform as well as pronounced assertiveness
• You convince with confident appearance, negotiation skills, and audience-appropriate communication ability
• Excellent German and business fluent English skills
