Specialised Clinical Nurse (ICLS) in Paediatrics
We are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (ICLS) for our paediatric intermediate care unit. The start date is set for 1 October 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) brings together the Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Paediatrics and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work within this department. We care for women throughout their lives on gynaecological, obstetrical and psychosocial levels, as well as children from birth to adolescence.
Mission
Under the responsibility of the head nurse and in collaboration with the unit head nurses, your main tasks will be as follows:
- You develop expert clinical practice with the patient and their relatives
- You actively participate in the implementation of various projects within the department and the institution
- You develop a counselling, guidance and training offer for professionals involved with the patient
- You ensure nursing leadership within the clinical service, the institution and health networks.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma (or an equivalent qualification, as well as Red Cross recognition, mandatory)
- You have a master’s degree in nursing sciences or an equivalent qualification
- You have experience in clinical leadership and knowledge transfer
- Experience in paediatrics is an asset
- You are dynamic and possess organisational skills, rigour and adaptability
- You enjoy teamwork and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- You are proficient with common IT tools.
The salary scale is between 10 and 11, depending on the candidate’s profile.
