Course Instructor Group Lessons Acoustic Guitar 5 - 10%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measures enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of seven main departments of JuWe. The JVA Pöschwies, with 399 places, is the largest closed correctional facility for men in Switzerland. It fulfils a central state function and, according to legal mandate, is responsible for the resocialisation of prisoners and the protection of the public.
To complement our educational and leisure offerings for inmates, we are looking for an engaged and motivated course instructor for guitar lessons at JVA Pöschwies, starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Group lessons for acoustic guitar for beginners and advanced players
- Supporting participants at an individual level as well as fostering community
- Coordination with the Education & Leisure management
- Support and advice on the acquisition of instruments and accessories
Your profile
- Experience in group lessons for acoustic guitar; ideally you hold a relevant teaching diploma
- Willingness to teach regularly on a weekday evening from 17:30 to 19:30
- Minimum age 30 years
- Very good oral and written German skills, ideally also English skills
- Independent, flexible and confident personality
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to motivate and inspire participants
- Impeccable character (no entries in the criminal or debt register)
