Reservations Management Trainee 100% (m/f/d)
Your daily work
- Processing reservations: Receiving, processing, and confirming booking requests for rooms, suites, and special packages via various channels (phone, email, online booking systems).
- Guest communication: Friendly and professional handling of inquiries, advising on offers, packages, and hotel services to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
- System maintenance: Managing reservations in the Property Management System (PMS) including maintaining and updating the guest database.
- Collaboration with other departments: Close cooperation with reception, sales department, and revenue management to ensure a smooth guest journey.
- Quality assurance: Ensuring a high standard in processing booking requests and supporting the optimization of internal processes.
- Upselling and cross-selling: Actively recommending additional services and offers to increase revenue.
- Participation in meetings: Planning and attending revenue meetings, team meetings, and other cross-departmental discussions to gain comprehensive insight into strategic and operational topics.
- Insight into group reservations: Supporting and overseeing the group reservation process, including coordination and communication with the relevant departments.
What we expect from you
- Currently enrolled as a student at a Swiss hotel management school
- Very good German and English skills, additional French skills are an advantage.
- Independent, structured, and reliable working style, even in a dynamic environment.
- Organizational strength and team orientation, combined with joy in working with people
- Flexibility: Willingness to work across departments if needed or to respond flexibly to changed work requirements.
- Technical affinity: Confident handling of MS Office and ideally experience with hotel software such as Opera or Protel.
