Career, Study and Vocational Counsellor biz Kloten 60 - 80%The Office for Youth and Career Counselling is part of the Directorate of Education and is responsible for child and youth welfare, career counselling, and scholarship allocation. It provides various counselling and support services centrally and decentrally at several locations in the canton of Zurich.
For biz Kloten we are looking for a Career, Study and Vocational Counsellor 60-80%, limited until the end of 2028, starting 01.08.2026 or by arrangement
Your tasks:
The focus of your activities is on initial training counselling for young people and the support of two secondary schools. In addition to individual counselling, you conduct class and parent orientations, school office hours, and other school-related activities. You also conduct career counselling, provide information desk services, support the application workshop, conduct workshops and events, and participate in product or theme teams.
Your profile:
You have a recognised completed education in career, study and vocational counselling (MAS) or are well advanced in your studies and preferably have a degree in psychology. You possess the expertise and skills to independently conduct counselling in the aforementioned areas after familiarisation. We are looking for a counsellor who has a high service orientation, enjoys counselling, and has knowledge of the labour market. Good organisational and administrative skills facilitate smooth handling of specialised applications and new media. Your professional appearance and communication skills enable you to competently conduct events and maintain the regional network. You perceive customer needs in a differentiated manner and conduct the counselling process in a solution-oriented way using diagnostic tools. You have foreign language skills and think and act independently and interdisciplinarily.
