Fiber Optic Designer / Planner
We are looking for reinforcement for our team immediately or by arrangement.
What you will do with us
- Planning, design, and documentation of fiber optic and access networks (FTTH, FTTx, Backbone, Access) with CableScout
- Creation of network diagrams, route planning, splice and joint concepts
- Technical analysis of existing networks and derivation of optimization and expansion concepts
- Development of planning bases, technical documentation, and as-built documents
- Support of project managers and construction management with technical questions
- Collaboration with civil engineering, cable pulling, splicing teams, and measurement technology
- Ensuring data quality and documentation standards according to customer and operator requirements
- Area of operation: Zurich
What you bring
- Completed training
- Further training or certification as CableScout Access Network Designer is an advantage
- Several years of experience in telecommunications or fiber optic network construction (planning, construction, or documentation)
- Very good knowledge of fiber optic technology, network architectures (FTTH, P2P, P2MP), and splicing concepts
- Experience with planning and documentation tools (CableScout, GIS, CAD, QGIS, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Structured, independent, and precise working style
- Team player, communicative, and technically skilled
- Very good German skills, English is an advantage
- High personal responsibility, resilience, and quality awareness
