YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Optimization and adaptation of the existing CBTC simulation environment to an external interface and a railway model.
- Integration and connection of external visualization systems via defined software and communication interfaces
- Active participation in the definition of interfaces and coordination with internal and external project participants
- Independent analysis of technical problems as well as proactive development and implementation of solution approaches
- Support in conducting software tests in the laboratory
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed studies (or near completion) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a comparable field
- High degree of independence, strong initiative, and the ability to proactively and responsibly develop technical solutions
- Knowledge of communication protocols is desirable, e.g. TCP/IP, MQTT, CAN, Modbus, SPI or comparable protocols
- Experience with Arduino and network-based communication (sockets, TCP/IP)
- Knowledge of Python and/or C#/C++ is desirable
- First experience with PLC programming is an advantage
- Interest in railway technology and signaling technology, especially in simulation-based systems
- Analytical, structured working style and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- Teamwork skills, initiative, and good communication skills
- Very good German and English skills
