Specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology 50 - 100 %
The Regional Medical Service (RAD) is an insurance medical competence center that conducts its own examinations and consultations and prepares independent insurance medical statements for the IV offices of the cantons LU, NW, OW, SZ, UR, and ZG. In RAD Central Switzerland, around 30 doctors with various specialties are engaged. Our doctors can flexibly schedule their working hours from Monday to Friday between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM (do not have to work night/weekend or holiday shifts) and have the opportunity to work from home. We would like to complement the RAD team with your expert competence immediately or by agreement, your assignment will take place at the WAS location in Lucerne and, if necessary, at one of the other IV offices in Central Switzerland.
Your tasks
- You assess the health status of insured persons and any potential impacts on their work and performance capacity.
- You evaluate medical files and maintain inter-institutional exchange.
- You engage in dialogue with the specialists in professional reintegration and exchange interdisciplinary within the RAD team.
- You conduct examinations of insured persons on-site in your own responsibility as needed.
- You create evidence-based expert opinions that lead to fair and just performance-related decisions.
Your competencies
- You hold the relevant specialist title and bring professional experience.
- You have a strong interest in insurance medical and social insurance legal issues.
- You appreciate complex issues and enjoy dialogue with employees from the areas of reintegration, services, and law.
- You like to take responsibility and continue your education in a specialized and insurance medical manner.
- You are a service-oriented personality and appreciate constructive, respectful, and interdisciplinary collaboration at eye level.
