Senior Consultant with Special Function in Gynaecology & Obstetrics - Focus on Obstetrics

Would you like to specifically develop your experience as a senior consultant in obstetrics and take on more responsibility in the future? In this position, you can actively shape obstetrics, contribute your own ideas, and further develop structures together with the team.

For an established women’s clinic in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, we are seeking an experienced senior consultant with a special interest in obstetrics. The clinic offers a broad gynaecological and obstetric spectrum as well as modern medical infrastructure.

The position is aimed at doctors from Switzerland as well as Germany who already work independently at senior consultant level and wish to develop professionally. The current development phase of obstetrics is particularly exciting: you will not only take on existing tasks but can actively shape medical processes, structures, and the future direction of the department.

Your clinical routine will remain varied. In addition to work in the delivery room, your responsibilities will include your own clinics, inpatient and outpatient care, as well as minor gynaecological surgeries. The workload is deliberately flexible and will be agreed upon according to your personal situation.

Your responsibilities:

• Independent care of gynaecological and obstetric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Responsibility in the delivery room including management of more complex obstetric situations
• Conducting your own clinics as well as minor gynaecological procedures and surgeries
• Close and cooperative collaboration with midwives and the interprofessional team
• Active participation in shaping and further developing obstetrics
• Supervision and support of doctors in training

Your competencies:

• Specialist qualification in gynaecology and obstetrics or an equivalent recognised qualification
• At least three years of experience as a senior consultant
• Solid experience in obstetrics
• Clear desire to develop professionally in obstetrics and take on more responsibility
• Enjoyment in shaping change and contributing your own ideas
• Team-oriented, solution-focused and reliable working style
