About the job
A varied range of tasks as a Civil Engineering Project Manager is offered in the Develop-Plan-Build department for our municipal projects.
Allschwil is one of the largest municipalities in Northwestern Switzerland and is an innovative suburb of Basel. The proximity to this city shapes Allschwil's character without the municipality losing its political and mental independence.
We are looking for a committed person to start immediately or by arrangement
Your area of responsibility
• Reviewing and approving wastewater and water connection applications
• Reviewing and approving excavation and common land use applications in public spaces
• Responsibility for the maintenance of public lighting
• Processing and managing municipal projects in the areas of road construction, water supply, and wastewater – from planning, tendering to execution and completion
• Project management for renovations and repairs of municipally owned civil engineering projects
• Independent budgeting and responsible management of accounting
• Conducting appropriate correspondence and independently preparing reports
• Conducting negotiations with the public, authorities, utilities, and third parties
Your profile
• Qualification as a civil engineer FH or civil engineering technician HF or completed technical basic training in civil engineering (site manager or foreman in civil engineering)
• Possession of or willingness to obtain the "Specialist in Property Drainage VSA" qualification
• Several years of experience as a project manager in various fields of civil engineering – emphasis on road construction, wastewater, and water supply is an advantage
• Knowledge in procurement and project management
• Fluency and confidence in oral and written expression
• Team-oriented, independent, motivated, and goal-oriented personality with assertiveness
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes
• User knowledge of AutoCAD and Messerli construction administration is an advantage
