Research Officer within the Clinical and Translational Trials Unit

The Clinical and Translational Oncology Trials Unit, for its coordination unit, is seeking a research officer between 80% and 100%. The starting date is scheduled for 1 November 2026 or to be agreed.

Context

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.

Our CHUV clinical oncology department brings together cancer clinic and research with an innovative spirit. It includes the medical oncology, radio-oncology, and haematology services along with the CHUV bone marrow transplantation activity.

The CHUV medical oncology service is currently the largest specialised platform in this field in Switzerland. Its mission is to manage, diagnostically and therapeutically, and ensure the follow-up of adult patients suffering from cancerous diseases and to offer each patient access to optimal personalised treatment, whether in routine practice or within clinical studies, taking into account all innovations and changes in knowledge over time.

Mission

• You prepare clinical and translational research studies in accordance with internal procedures
• You coordinate clinical and translational research studies in accordance with internal procedures and GCP (Good Clinical Practices) standards
• You participate in the management of clinical and translational research data according to GCP standards.

Profile

• You hold a master’s degree in life sciences or an equivalent qualification;
• You have 2 years’ experience in clinical study management. Experience managing complex or oncology studies is an asset for this position
• You have a good knowledge of GCP
• You are perfectly comfortable in French and have a good level of English, both spoken and written
• You have good command of common IT tools (Microsoft Office) and possess the adaptability necessary to use new software
• You have an interest in interprofessional exchanges and interactions with healthcare staff
• You enjoy working autonomously while having a strong team spirit.

This position would particularly suit a proactive, versatile, conscientious, dynamic person with good communication and adaptation skills who enjoys working in a team.
