About the job
Specialist in Application Management with Focus on CAFM (80-100%) (a)
The Real Estate Department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of Empa's infrastructure. It also serves as the joint client representation body for three research institutions within the ETH domain.
As part of a small team within the Business Development staff unit, you are responsible for the operation and further development of our real estate-specific specialist applications – with a particular focus on our new CAFM system.
You are responsible for the operation and further development (Application Lifecycle Management) of our approximately a dozen real estate-specific specialist applications, including some business-critical processes, with a particular focus on the support and further development of our new CAFM system – from configuration through rollout support to second-level support. You ensure data quality and consistency in the systems you manage and maintain master data, permissions, and configurations. In close collaboration with the ICT department, you clarify questions regarding application operation, interfaces, and IT security and contribute to the further development of our system landscape and application strategy. You handle support requests from our employees, assist with tests, data migrations, and release changes – for example, as part of the CAFM rollout – and advise and train employees in the use of existing and new applications.
You have completed training in computer science, business informatics, or possess equivalent, several years of practical experience. You bring experience in application management or support, ideally with CAFM, ERP, or comparable specialist applications; an affinity for real estate and facility management processes is an advantage. You are familiar with handling master data, permissions, and system configurations. You work in a structured, precise, and solution-oriented manner, are strongly service-oriented, and enjoy contact with internal customers. You communicate confidently in German and have good English skills. An independent, reliable working style as well as teamwork complete your profile. Your workplace is in Dübendorf; you benefit from independent scheduling of your working hours with flexible working time options.
In an exciting research environment, we offer you a versatile specialist role at the interface of real estate management and digitalisation as well as an innovative, interdisciplinary environment where sustainable solutions are in demand.
You will find plenty of scope for independent action and a team-oriented environment where initiative, reliability, and commitment are valued.
