Job Description
The agricultural domain of the Établissements de la plaine de l'Orbe (EPO) is the third largest agricultural estate in Switzerland. It covers 360 hectares, managed with the participation of detainees, under the supervision of workshop managers. Activities focus on both crop and animal production, with particular attention to promoting short supply chains for the establishment's provisioning.
To strengthen the current team, we are looking for an agricultural assistant who wishes to commit to a demanding yet meaningful environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist with tasks related to crop production: perform all mechanical work inherent to a farm of more than three hundred and fifty hectares (soil work, sowing, harvesting, threshing).
- Carry out arboriculture and viticulture tasks.
- Assist with tasks related to animal production: ensure the care of animals from the domain's various productions (cattle sector, poultry, piggery), participate in preparing feed for the animals, and assist with the slaughtering and preparation of poultry.
- Deliver the domain's products to commercial partners, maintaining good relations with them to promote the image of the EPO.
- Assist with the maintenance of agricultural machinery and carry out upkeep and tidying of the surroundings of buildings and the farm.

Fixed-term contract of 6 months, renewable.
Weekend work depending on harvest tasks.
Qualifications
Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a farmer or equivalent qualification.
Driving licence and licence for operating telescopic handlers required.
Pesticide application licence is an advantage.
Basic knowledge in maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment.
Open-mindedness and flexibility, planning and organisational skills, analytical and synthesis abilities, rigour, team spirit and collaboration, communication skills.
