Job description
Within our residence, you support residents in their daily lives with kindness, professionalism and respect for their dignity. In close collaboration with the care team and under the supervision of the nurse, you contribute to their comfort, safety and the maintenance of their autonomy.
Your role is essential to provide personalised and quality support, centred on the needs, life habits and wishes of each resident.
Your duties
- Provide basic care and support residents in daily living activities;
- Participate in maintaining the well-being, comfort and autonomy of the people cared for;
- Observe the general condition of residents and relay useful information to the care team;
- Accompany residents with respect, empathy and professionalism, including in situations of high dependency or end of life;
- Actively collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and personalised care;
- Contribute to a safe, warm and stimulating living environment.
Profile sought
- Certificate as a Swiss Red Cross Health Assistant or equivalent qualification;
- 2 to 3 years’ experience with elderly people in nursing homes; experience in psychogeriatrics is an asset;
- Good command of basic care (hygiene, comfort, mobilisation and support of residents);
- Knowledge of the specific needs of elderly people and ability to promote the maintenance of their autonomy;
- Proficiency in spoken and written French (minimum B2 level);
- Sense of responsibility, reliability and team spirit;
- Positive, kind and respectful attitude towards residents, relatives and colleagues;
- Adaptability and good interpersonal skills.
