Introduction
In order to strengthen its road service, the Municipality of Cheseaux-sur-Lausanne is looking for a passionate and motivated Landscape Gardener.
Your mission
Within the road service, you contribute to the maintenance, development and enhancement of the municipal heritage. Versatile, you actively participate in all the activities of the service, notably:
- Maintenance of municipal green spaces (lawns, flower beds, hedges, street trees, sports fields, public squares, etc.);
- Planting, floral creations and landscaping;
- Maintenance and enhancement of the municipal cemetery, respecting the site and its users;
- Participation in public domain maintenance work and various road tasks (signage, street furniture, minor masonry, cleaning of roads and public spaces, etc.);
- Driving tractors, municipal vehicles and other machinery necessary for the work;
- Use, routine maintenance and first-level servicing of the service's machines, vehicles and equipment;
- Participation in winter service, notably snow clearance and anti-icing operations;
- Participation in on-call service and interventions outside usual hours in case of bad weather, emergencies or municipal events.
Your profile
- Holder of a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a landscape gardener or equivalent training;
- Professional experience in a similar position, ideally within a landscaping company (creation and/or maintenance);
- Good knowledge of landscaping techniques, green space maintenance and use of gardening machinery;
- Good knowledge of plants and pruning;
- Ability to drive tractors and maintenance machinery; relevant licences are an asset;
- Category B driving licence essential (BE or higher categories appreciated);
- Good physical condition and enjoyment of outdoor work in all seasons;
- Sense of responsibility, autonomy, initiative and ability to work in a team;
- Availability, flexibility and a sense of public service.
