The Geneva Foundation for Sociocultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of relationships between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, sociocultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, and quality of life, with the general objective of preventing social exclusion.
A 75% sociocultural animator position is open at the Pré en bulle neighborhood house.
In Grottes, an unusual neighborhood house, pré en bulle creates links between the Grottes, Cropettes, Montbrillant neighborhoods by stimulating the associative and collective fabric and organizing activities for children, adolescents, and the general public, mainly outdoors. Without a reception space, the association creatively invests public space by going to meet the residents. The association's principle is "Where there is a will, nothing is impossible."
Job Description
- Take responsibility for animation work and socio-educational work with all generations,
- Assume facilitator-coordinator tasks on a rotating basis as part of shared responsibilities within the team,
- Participate in the development of neighborhood life and animation, sharing the values of the institutional project in partnership with residents, various groups, neighborhood associations, and municipal services,
- Collaborate and participate in the development of the animation program and follow-up of the institutional project,
- Develop and maintain dynamic and trusting internal communication among the center's partners, ensuring the flow of information between the team, the committee, FASe, and municipal authorities,
- Assume management tasks related to activities.
- The position requires great organizational rigor, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strict adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level, or an equivalent university degree,
- Recognized skills in project design and presentation,
- Good experience in organization, planning, and priority management,
- Successful experience in animation and interest in neighborhood development issues, sensitivity to environmental questions,
- Creative and dynamic spirit, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and listening,
- Ability to adapt in relationships and to unforeseen events within assigned missions,
- Ease, ability, and willingness to work in a team and with various partners from different backgrounds,
- Aptitude to identify issues, plan actions in advance, and prioritize tasks according to assigned projects and available resources,
- Understanding of the association’s overall challenges and ability to align actions with the missions and values upheld by pré en bulle,
- Proven multitasking abilities,
- Ability to work autonomously and independently while working in a team,
- Know how to distinguish what falls within one’s individual scope of action, collective team decisions, and orientations validated by the management committee, while fostering a collaborative dynamic,
- Strong interest in cultural and event projects.
- Ability to write reports, use common computer software, rigor, and respect for deadlines,
- Experience in communication, multimedia, and social networks,
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social system and the functioning of FASe partner institutions,
- Follower of the motto "Where there is a will, nothing is impossible" and humor.

- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 15.
