Health Department Graubünden | 80% | Chur
As a service directly subordinate to the Department of Justice, Security, and Health, the Health Department is responsible for the tasks assigned to it by law and regulations in the field of healthcare. In particular, it is responsible for healthcare provision and health promotion, as far as it concerns cantonal tasks. Essentially, the activities of the Health Department can be divided into the following areas: permits and supervision of professions and institutions in the healthcare sector, cantonal medical service, control of medicinal products and narcotics, health promotion and prevention, as well as controlling the granting of cantonal contributions to eligible healthcare institutions.
The legal service is responsible for overseeing individuals and businesses in the healthcare sector in the legal areas assigned to the Health Department according to federal and cantonal law (health, medicinal products, medical and health professions, epidemics, health insurance law). It advises and supports the service and the specialist departments in legal matters, provides legal information in the field of healthcare, and coordinates the enforcement of health insurance obligations with the federal and cantonal authorities.
We are looking for a legal employee in the legal service for the Health Department by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Conducting supervisory administrative and disciplinary procedures as well as violation penalty procedures, particularly leading procedures and drafting health police orders
- Conducting procedures regarding exemption from professional secrecy
- Drafting responses in supervisory complaint procedures
- Processing requests under the Public Information Act
- Supporting municipalities in implementing the health insurance obligation
- Legal clarifications in the healthcare sector
- Legal advice to the specialist departments
- Collaboration with specialists in the service in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and medicinal products
- Preparing responses for the department or the federal government

- Completed legal studies, preferably with a lawyer's license
- Several years of professional experience in public administration, justice, or advocacy
- Independent and precise work
- Willingness to take on responsibility
- Team ability, high social competence
- Analytical, structured, and conceptual thinking ability
- Quick comprehension
- Ability for interdisciplinary exchange
- Verbal fluency and stylistic confidence in oral and written expression
- Good IT skills
- Basic knowledge of the Italian language is an advantage
