About the job
Adrian Schürmann is a business economist HWV as well as a federally certified auditor. He completed his commercial apprenticeship at the Nidwalden Cantonal Bank. After working in audit both domestically and abroad, he took on senior roles as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at well-known national and international companies. Currently, Adrian Schürmann, who lives in Ennetbürgen, works as Group CFO of Hemro International AG in Zurich and additionally holds responsibility for human resources as a member of the executive management.
With Adrian Schürmann, NKB gains an experienced personality with solid financial and leadership expertise as well as a strong connection to the region. The Bank Council and executive management are very much looking forward to the collaboration and already warmly welcome him to NKB.
At the same time, NKB bids farewell to René Barmettler, who will step down from the Bank Council at the end of June after 14 years of dedicated service. René Barmettler has significantly shaped the Bank Council with his extensive experience, grounded approach, and strategic acumen. He has been a member of the six-person committee since 2012, serving as Vice President since 2020. Especially in personnel matters, he contributed valuable perspectives and committed himself with great dedication to a strong, sustainable, and regionally anchored NKB.
