Job Description
In relation to care
- Maintain and develop skills through continuing education.
- Identify crisis situations, take the first appropriate measures within their competence and report to the nurse.
- Provide assistance with daily living activities: hygiene, nutrition, mobilisation, elimination.
- Participate in the therapeutic education of the patient and their family to promote autonomy and social reintegration.
- Carry out medical prescriptions and delegated care within their competencies.
- Ensure the maintenance, cleaning and disinfection of furniture and care equipment according to procedures.
In relation to the team
- Participate in the organisation of the service and the distribution of work.
- Ensure regular, clear and effective oral and written communication of information, respecting the hierarchical chain.
- After 2 years of experience, contribute to the supervision and evaluation of certified nursing assistants, nursing aides, ASSC students and trainees.
In relation to the institution
- Actively collaborate with other hospital sectors.
- Update elements of the electronic care record in accordance with institutional requirements.
In relation to the outside
- Participate in collaboration with ASSC schools (reception, follow-up, coordination according to current modalities).
Qualifications
- Hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as Assistant in Community Health and Care
- Have a good team spirit and great versatility
- Know how to prioritise and organise activities
- Professional awareness, motivation, flexibility, dynamism and good stress resistance
- Experience in acute care is an asset
- Good knowledge of German is an asset
