Sales Manager 100% (m/f/d)
Your daily work
- Acquisition of new customers as well as care and further development of existing customers with the aim of achieving the hotel's revenue budgets
- Main responsibility for the Bern market as well as assigned regions within Switzerland with a focus on MICE sales and leisure groups
- Conclusion of local, national, and international contracts with defined customers and partners
- Ensuring targeted customer care and achieving the defined room night and rate targets in the responsible segment
- Active market and competitor observation as well as regular analysis within the hotel's reporting and meeting structure
- Planning, organizing, and carrying out sales activities and sales measures
- Conducting semi-annual and annual discussions with key accounts including reporting of relevant revenue and performance indicators
- Building, maintaining, and expanding the customer network for the benefit of the hotel as well as participating in relevant industry and networking events
- Creating weekly reports including scheduling and sales activities
What we expect from you
- Completed training at a hotel management school, higher technical school, or an equivalent education in sales
- Solid sales experience in the hotel environment, ideally in the MICE and/or leisure group segment
- Strong goal and result orientation as well as a high degree of initiative
- Very good understanding of economic contexts as well as pronounced budget and numerical understanding
- Networked and analytical thinking as well as a structured and organized way of working
- High communication skills as well as very good language skills in German and English; additional foreign languages are an advantage
- Excellent manners as well as a confident, poised, and dynamic appearance
- Experience working with Leading Hotels of the World and knowledge of the PMS Opera are advantageous
