About the job
Class and annual salary (including 13th month salary):
12 98'621.-- / 158'999.--
Tasks:
- planning, supervision and design of silvicultural interventions
- management of aspects related to the conservation and protection of forest areas
- definition and implementation of prevention and intervention measures against phytopathies and other phytosanitary issues that may affect forest ecosystems
- advice to private individuals and public bodies for all activities related to forest management
- supervision and management, with the support of the sector geologist, of projects related to protective works against natural hazards
- coordination of district activities and collaboration with direct collaborators, in particular with sector foresters and the secretary
- participation in working groups established by the Forestry Section, in cases where, for specific topics, the presence of district forest engineers is foreseen or necessary
Requirements:
- complete academic degree (bachelor and master or licence) in forest engineering
- preferential qualifications: eligibility certificate or practice certificate
- proven work experience in the fields of forest management, forest planning and particularly in the management of protection forests
- experience in managing forestry projects and protective works against natural hazards
- knowledge of federal and cantonal forestry legislation, public administrative procedures and applicable technical regulations
- excellent knowledge of the Italian language (conversation and writing), good knowledge of German and French (spoken and written)
- excellent knowledge and experience of conventional computer applications
- good knowledge of databases, CAD and GIS
- initiative and ability to work in a team
- organisational skills for own work
- willingness to work outside office hours
- ability to manage and motivate staff and collaborators
