Social and Educational Assistant at 50%

Present in all neighbourhoods, the Social Cohesion Service offers numerous services including the Nyon day care network for children. To complete a team, the after-school care units (UAPE) are looking for a:

whose main duties will be to support the educational team in accompanying the children of the after-school care unit (UAPE) outside school periods, ensuring their physical and moral safety, and working in partnership with families.

Main duties

• Ensure the supervision of children attending the UAPE under supervision.
• Integrate into the daily life of the structure.
• Know the institution’s rules of conduct and convey them if necessary.
• Support the educational team in implementing educational activities.
• Report observations about the child to the team.
• Contribute to good team cohesion.
• Collaborate with childhood educators and social and educational assistants while respecting the reference framework.
• Adhere to the institution’s educational project and participate in its development.

Your profile

• Compulsory schooling level or a 2-year professional certificate working with children;
• Several years of experience with children (experience in UAPE is an advantage);
• Ability to propose and implement educational approaches;
• Ability to intervene in emergency situations;
• Ability to develop partnerships with families;
• Skills in observation, analysis and synthesis of various situations encountered in the field;
• Good communication skills.
