The Vocational Training School Winterthur BBW is a vocational school of the Canton of Zurich for basic and continuing vocational education. In the Computer Science | Natural Sciences department, we teach apprentices from the professional fields of computer science, digital business development, nature, and chemistry.
Your tasks
Starting from the 2026/27 school year (beginning August 17, 2026) - or earlier by agreement - we are looking for a vocational school teacher for computer science instruction 40-60% in the area of application development
Your profile
You have a university degree in computer science (HF/FH/ETH/Uni) as well as practical professional experience. You enjoy working with young professionals, are proactive, enjoy explaining, work in a team-oriented manner, and gladly take on responsibility.
Professionally, you bring solid knowledge in object-oriented and functional programming as well as software design and are familiar with modern development environments. Ideally, you have experience in web development (React/JavaScript), databases, and testing.
At the vocational school, we deal with the full range. The modular teaching offers a wide variety of topics in a modern world with cloud computing and AI. Modules such as implementing application security (Module 183), testing applications (Module 450), and programming distributed systems (Module 321, Microservices) are more than just curriculum terms for you. You know how to convey these contents in a practical, motivating way and up to date with the latest technology. Experience with CI/CD, version control (git), and agile development rounds off your profile.
As a team-oriented and motivated personality, you are ready to actively contribute to the subject group and the department and take on additional tasks.
