The Kantonsschule Stadelhofen is a cantonal short-term high school with classical and modern languages, mathematical-scientific, and musical profiles. Located centrally in five buildings, around 130 teachers teach 670 students, and 20 staff members ensure the administrative and technical school operations.

We are looking for a caretaker (80-100%) with development potential to start immediately or by arrangement.

As a caretaker, you will work in our building services team. Together with your colleagues, you ensure a smoothly functioning and efficient operation of our infrastructure at all times and carry out maintenance work on the school grounds and in the classrooms. You enjoy both manual work and planning and organizational tasks. You cover flexible shifts, including various shifts in the evening and occasionally on weekends. In addition, you are willing to perform on-call duty and take your holidays during school breaks.

Your tasks

• Control, monitoring, and maintenance of the properties with the building technical facilities
• General caretaker duties, inspection rounds, disposal, cleaning work, and repair orders
• Coordination, monitoring, and supervision of service providers, craftsmen, and tenants
• Provision of rooms and hall for various events including technical support and presence on site
• Material management
• Support in the creation and maintenance of documentation

Your profile

• Technical and/or manual basic training with additional training in the field of caretaking/building maintenance (caretaker with federal certificate or similar) or willingness to acquire this, as well as several years of professional experience in a comparable function
• Reliable, precise, and responsible working style, high physical and mental resilience
• Organizational talent with foresighted planning, flexibility, and commitment
• Friendly, confident demeanor, team-oriented, enjoyment in dealing with young people and adults in a lively school environment
• Good German and ICT skills, especially MS Office products
