For a demanding, multi-year infrastructure project in the energy sector (new construction of a coupled high-/medium-voltage substation in the Zurich area), we are looking for an experienced external client representative to start immediately or by arrangement.

You will support the internal client representation as a co-client representative, manage the general planner and share responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality as well as the interfaces to the electromechanical subproject. The project is currently in an advanced planning phase and will move into realisation in the coming years (preparatory work from approx. 2028, construction approx. 2029–2033).

You will support the internal client representation as a co-client representative, manage the general planner and share responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality as well as the interfaces to the electromechanical subproject. The project is currently in an advanced planning phase and will move into realisation in the coming years (preparatory work from approx. 2028, construction approx. 2029–2033).

Your tasks

• Management and communication with the general planner according to the defined project objectives
• Participation and responsibility in the areas of organisation, costs, deadlines, quality and documentation (in accordance with SIA 101/112)
• Leadership of project change management, updating PPH and project manual
• Interface management construction ↔ electromechanics as well as with adjacent projects
• Preparation and support of phase completions, awards, approvals and commissioning
• Conflict and stakeholder management in a complex client setting (multiple parties)
• Ensuring compliance with deadlines, services, contracts and costs

Your profile

• Completed studies (civil engineering, architecture or comparable) or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of experience as a client representative, project manager client or in a comparable role in large infrastructure or energy projects (ideally new builds, public or semi-public clients, general contractor model)
• Very good knowledge of SIA phases and SIA standards (especially 101/112)
• Experience in dealing with general planners, complex interfaces and multi-year large projects
• Strong communication, moderation and conflict resolution skills
• Independent, structured and assertive working style
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form (negotiation security)
• Advantageous: Experience with high voltage/substation projects, planning approval procedures, EIA or public procurement (IVöB).
