As an Automation Engineer, you design innovative automation solutions and actively contribute to the optimisation of processes and systems. - Program/patch distribution and release management for PLC/HMI systems (e.g. via TIA Portal, TwinCAT)
- Monitoring and optimisation of process control systems and control components
- Participation in automation projects (introduction of new robots, MES integration, sensor solutions)
- Interface to external service providers (control system integrator, PLC programmer)
- 2nd-level support for automation and IoT platforms, fault analysis in the production process
- Documentation of process workflows and training of production staff in IT usage
- Engineer (automation technology, electrical engineering) or computer scientist with automation focus
- Solid understanding of PLCs, robot controls or comparable automation systems
- Experience with protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT and common HMI/SCADA tools
- Basic IT knowledge (Windows/Linux, network protocols, virtualisation)
- Analytical thinking, strong service orientation in support
Nice to have:
- Knowledge in MES/ERP integration, programming skills (e.g. Python, C/C++, C#), certificate "Certified Automation Professional" or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Profile
