In our boarding school, we provide residential care and treatment for 55 children and adolescents with a challenging biography 365 days a year, offering social pedagogical, curative pedagogical, and therapeutic support. We work with the methodology of competence orientation in the residential setting (KOSS). The residential groups are located in Elgg and three surrounding communities.
We are looking for a
Social Pedagogue (80-90%)
for the residential group in Wiesendangen with 4 male and 4 female adolescents between 13 and 16 years old, starting immediately or by arrangement. (A prerequisite is a car driving license for manual transmission vehicles and 1 year of driving experience)
Your responsibilities
- Active shaping of the living, learning, and development environment of the children/adolescents
- Accompaniment, support, and promotion in everyday life, especially in the emotional and social areas
- Interdisciplinary collaboration
- Administrative tasks
- Case management for two adolescents, including writing progress reports
- Parent and relative counseling
Your profile
- Completed training at a school for social work or equivalent education
- Interest in working in the residential sector with challenged children/adolescents and their families
- Special knowledge in working with challenged children/adolescents and/or families
- Willingness to work with the competence orientation methodology KOSS
- High professional, social, and communication skills as well as resilience, assertiveness, and flexibility
- Willingness to work irregular hours, night shifts, and weekend duty
- Willingness to participate in leisure camps
