About the job
Introduction
The Adliswil school educates around 2,000 children in kindergarten, primary, and secondary levels. Over 500 staff members are committed to this responsible task across 7 schools and various specialised services with great dedication. Currently, around 50% of all school children use the school’s supplementary care services.
At Sonnenberg School, 280 kindergarten and primary school children from over 20 nations learn. They are taught and supported by 30 teachers as well as a school social worker. The Sonnenberg care service is attended by 90 to 120 children depending on the day of the week and is a central part of everyday school life.
For our Sonnenberg location, we are looking for a
Staff Member for Lunchtime Supervision
The open position is based at the Sonnenberg school building (kindergarten and grades 1 to 6). The role is on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 11:15 am to 2:00 pm.
You will work 8.25 hours per week and have the entire school holidays – 13 weeks per year – off. The employment corresponds to 16.3%. Optionally, you can increase your hours weekly with holiday care.
You bring
You enjoy working with children and already have experience in childcare. As a staff member for supervision, you work in support of the group leader (FaBe).
Your German is at a good level, so you can communicate confidently, clearly, and exemplary with children and within the team. A respectful approach to children, different cultures, and people is natural for you. Resilience, patience, and teamwork skills characterise you.
An additional interest in nutrition and health is an advantage:
If you enjoy helping to design simple snacks or meals for children or preparing them together with the group leader and kitchen team, this is very welcome. This task only makes up a small part of the role but is positively considered when selecting applications. We especially appreciate people who introduce children to new foods, flavours, and plant-based impulses with curiosity and joy – often in small ways.
With us you will find
A well-organised and structured location with open communication, a warm community, space for creativity and personal responsibility, as well as a committed team.
