About the job
The Goldau Nature and Animal Park delights around 450,000 visitors annually amidst an impressive rocky landscape and idyllic forests. Around 100 European wild animal species live on 42 hectares. Approximately 200 employees and many volunteers are passionately committed to nature and species conservation, education, and research – driving forward the sustainable goals of the scientifically managed animal park.
Your tasks
- Expansion and strategic further development of the volunteer programme
- Leadership and support of volunteers from onboarding to offboarding
- Planning, coordination, and ensuring smooth deployments
- Close collaboration with the various departments of the Goldau Nature and Animal Park to coordinate deployment possibilities
- Development and implementation of induction programmes and training
- Promotion of a appreciative volunteer culture and long-term retention of volunteers
Your profile
- Several years of leadership experience or solid experience in volunteer management
- Further training in volunteer management (e.g. CAS) or willingness to complete such training
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong organisational skills and high initiative
- Enjoyment in working with diverse people and stakeholders
- Willingness to occasionally work on weekends and public holidays
