Our systems in the area of Sourcing & Purchasing form a central foundation for purchasing, assortment, and availability. As Team Lead Software Engineering, you lead a small engineering team and develop modern solutions for our procurement processes together with them. In doing so, you combine leadership with technical contribution and actively shape architecture, working methods, and collaboration.
What to expect
- Leadership, coaching, and development of a small engineering team with a focus on personal responsibility, quality, and continuous learning
- Hands-on involvement in software development - from the initial idea through architecture and solution design to productive operation
- Close collaboration with product management, stakeholders, and adjacent engineering teams
- Development of modern and scalable solutions for central processes in the area of Sourcing & Purchasing
- Design of modular architectures and interfaces using approaches such as Domain-Driven Design, Self-Contained Systems, and Data Mesh
- Ensuring high code quality through code reviews, pair programming, and structured testing processes
- Further development of CI/CD, DevOps, and deployments so that the team can deliver quickly, stably, and regularly
- Promotion of a trusting team environment with an open culture of mistakes, feedback, and learning
What you bring
- At least five years of experience in software development and at least one year of experience in a technical or personnel leadership role
- Solid knowledge of Java as well as experience with SQL, data modelling, CI/CD, and DevOps
- Familiarity with modular software architecture, interface design, and asynchronous data processing
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design, Self-Contained Systems, or comparable architectural approaches
- Enjoyment of short agile iterations, automation, and hands-on software development
- An empathetic, clear, and motivating leadership mentality
- Experience in developing employees and fostering an open learning and feedback culture
- Completed studies in computer science or business informatics or a comparable qualification
- Experience in e-commerce and with cloud technologies is an advantage
