The Child and Adult Protection Authority KESB is responsible for ensuring the protection of adults and children. The audit department reviews inventories, reports, and accounts of guardians and handles complex cases focusing on inheritance law, finance, property, and social insurance law. Your tasks
- Independent legal clarifications of facts in child and adult protection procedures (in particular review of transactions requiring consent according to Art. 416 ZGB and other procedures focusing on inheritance law, finance, property sales, property, and social insurance law);
- independent conduct of hearings if necessary
- Preparation of reasoned decisions for the authority
- Taking minutes with advisory voice at the authority meeting
- Clarification of legal questions for the audit department
- Providing information on audit-related topics of child and adult protection (in writing, by phone, and at the counter)
- Participation in the development of information sheets and other aids for the audit department
Your profile
- University degree (lic. iur. or MLaw) in law, bar admission advantageous
- Several years of administrative experience and/or experience in civil procedural and administrative law proceedings
- Experience in handling inheritance law issues and in child and adult protection law
- Independent, responsible, precise, and pragmatic working style
- Confident in oral and written expression
- Resilience, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
- Ability for appreciative, constructively critical, solution-oriented collaboration with guardians, external agencies, and within KESB
- Interest in social issues and empathy towards people in difficult life situations
