Do you have a passion for historic buildings and their architectural development? Would you like to gain insight into the practical work of the cantonal monument preservation office? The Building Consultancy department has an internship position available from October 2026 for a duration of one year.
Your tasks
- Active collaboration in the two exciting subject areas of settlements and railway facilities alongside experienced building consultants.
- Independent execution of research and targeted compilation of important project documents.
- Participation in on-site inspections and accompaniment of the architectural development of objects of architectural or technical-historical significance.
- Getting to know the entire spectrum of official procedures – from building applications to heritage protection orders and grant matters.
- Active involvement at the interfaces of monument protection, modern building development, and administrative practice.
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, art history, or a related field.
- Interest in the preservation, care, and contemporary further development of historic buildings and facilities.
- Enjoyment of independent research and structured preparation of complex fundamentals.
- Reliable and team-oriented working style for collaboration with various interfaces.
- Motivation to apply theory in the dynamic everyday life of building and monument consultancy as well as administration.
