Application Operation Manager ICT 90%Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
With us, you can expect a complex IT environment with central specialist applications and systems related to the tax collection process. You will contribute your technical know-how, take on responsibility, and be part of a team that jointly ensures stable and secure IT operations.
Your tasks
- Operation and lifecycle management of specialist applications, IT systems, tools, and services at the Cantonal Tax Office
- Analysis of malfunctions and error states as well as initiating, implementing, and monitoring appropriate measures
- Ensuring availability, security, and stability of applications, data, and IT infrastructure
- Technical support of service owners in 2nd-level IT operations as well as professional guidance of external employees
- Further development of the IT infrastructure as well as creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Active participation in various projects and interdisciplinary teams
Your profile
- Completed higher vocational training in computer science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in operating specialist applications, IT systems, or complex IT infrastructures
- In-depth practical knowledge of Unix/Linux systems as well as a good understanding of IT operations, availability, and security
- Additional certifications such as ITIL, HERMES, TOGAF, SAFe, or Scrum are advantageous
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Service-oriented personality with team spirit and good communication skills in German and technical English
- Openness to change as well as interest in digitalisation, agility, and continuous development
- Willingness to work outside office hours, for example during maintenance, installations, or malfunctions
