Environmental Therapist FPA 90%With around 1,400 employees, the Department of Justice and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible for penal and measures enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. Our staff from around 40 professions support and promote the reintegration of offenders and are committed effectively and progressively to a safe and just society.
The Psychiatric-Psychological Service (PPD) is one of the eight main departments of JuWe. As one of the largest institutions for forensic psychotherapy and psychiatry in Switzerland, it specialises in relapse-preventive treatment of violent and sexual offenders in custody and in the community. The treatment offerings range from court-ordered measures to therapies within psychiatric primary care.
As part of the Psychiatric-Psychological Service (PPD), the Inpatient Adult Forensics (StEF) department carries out inpatient therapeutic measures for adult clients. Treatment takes place in the daily routine of the Forensic Psychiatric Department (FPA) at JVA Pöschwies and combines psychotherapeutic and environmental therapeutic approaches.
To strengthen our treatment team at the FPA, we are looking for a motivated and committed individual from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Key worker duties including treatment planning and support of a prosocial and treatment-promoting environment
- Development and implementation of individual case-related environmental therapeutic treatment measures considering the mental and physical resources of the clients under measures
- Participation in ensuring and further developing reliable enforcement-organisational and security-relevant processes at the FPA (e.g. ensuring hygiene, catering, laundry changes, sick reports and mail)
- Planning, conducting and evaluating accompanied therapeutic outings and leaves with the clients under measures
Your profile
- Completed vocational training, ideally as a qualified nurse HF specialising in psychiatry
- Ideally experience in penal enforcement, especially in the areas of care as well as work and occupation
- Mature, resilient and conflict-capable personality with pronounced relational competence
- Strong team and communication skills as well as enjoyment of a trusting and constructive collaboration
- You are open to an interdisciplinary way of working and willing to learn continuously
- An impeccable reputation (no entries in the criminal record and no outstanding debts)
